One Simple Change to Lose Weight
Many people struggle with their weight even though we seem to live a good and healthy lifestyle. Most overweight people have a few bad habits that can easily be broken and can result in easy weight loss. In a few easy steps we can identify and break these habits.
Firstly we need to be aware of what our bad habits are. One way to do this is to keep a food diary for a minimum of 2 weeks. A food diary is simply a list of all the food and drink you consume each day. this should be done with no change to your current routine.
Step two is to find our problem foods by analyzing what we have recorded in our food diary. Information is available on he internet to help you estimate the calories in everything you have eaten and drank. You are most likely unaware of the number of calories in some of your foods.
Step three is identifying the problem foods by looking for the high calorie foods (or drinks) that you are consuming (especially as snacks) and then calculating the extra number of calories that you are consuming through these foods each month.
Fourthly we have to eliminate (or at least reduce) these foods from our diet. This may seem hard at first but try this for one month and see the difference that it makes to your weight.
Many people find that removing a single food from their diet can make a big difference when it comes to their weight. If you have slowly gained weight over a period of time then then this is probably true for you.
An example of a problem food is chocolate. A single 100 gram bar of chocolate is approximately 520 calories. So if you eat 4 chocolate bars a week this can add over 9,000 calories a month and this is almost 3 pounds of fat. So by simply cutting out chocolate you can expect to lose 36 pounds in a year.
So as you can see, with a little knowledge and a small change you can make a major difference in your weight and lose weight easily.
